HEY! sorry for the...not updating much. at all. KATHY! ill let you know how school is going.

first, a description of my teachers.

mrs. horan. espanol dos. she is quite the spanish teacher. she talks OOBER fast, and has the whole accent thing going on. so i kind of always have this dumbfounded look on my face while shes talking. partly cause i'm trying to figure out what shes saying and partly because im in awe of the fact that she said about 350537503 words in about a 2 second time period, and they all sort of became ONE word. crazy.

mrs. westhoff. modern algebra two. shes cool. kind of quiet, but nice. and friendly. and as far as math goes...i think i'll actually do okay since i get along with the teacher, and im not scared to death to ask questions.

mr. mogensen. junior english. oh man. what to say. hes hilarious. he always says a statement, and then mumbles a little side note that is completely off topic, but hilarious. the first day, he made me cry. sort of. basically made me laugh so hard i was crying. a lot. hes awesome. i enjoy his class.

mr. denekas. creative writing. hes so sarcastic, and has such a dry humor. i love it. hes very relaxed, and tells you how it is. no matter what. gotta love him.

mr. fitzgerald. sociology. hes awesome.i had him in ninth grade, and enjoyed him for history. but for sociology, hes so funny. very...truthful. and thats good. but hes sarcastic sometimes too. like, the other day, he told us our assignment was to go to the lemars phone book and memorize all the names under the J section. yeah...impossible. but he was kidding. how mean.

mrs. chenoweth. chemistry. oh wow. i love this woman. our first day of class started with "oh boy is it hot in here. (she looks down at one of the students in the first row) i have PMS. just so you know. and do you know why they call it that? (silence) cause mad cow was taken" shes sooo hilarious. i cant even describe it to you. ill probably have some more stories about her.

mr. westhoff. strength and conditioning. this man kind of scares me. he has this whole "lift or die" strategy as far as weightlifting goes. kinda scary. but hes cool. i have a feeling we'll warm up to one another, given time.

mr. yelinek. american government. at least thats what they SAY the class is. its kind of a joke. mr. yelinek gets off topic SOOO easily. like, i dont even know what we're studying becuase he constantly changes the subject. and he scrunches his face all up when hes talking, and his eyes are closed and...yeah...hes crazy. drives me crazy. but also makes the class go really fast. its fun. we'll see what its like when im crabby tho. hehe

so those are my teachers. and thats about all i got for an update. hope it was satisfactory.

OH! LIFELIGHT THIS WEEKEND! and more importantly...FAMILY COMING UP! YESSS! this is a GOOD weekend.

adam left for iraq today. only for two more months. i didnt actually think id cry, but i definitely did. actually, im clinging to the story that i poked myself in both eyes. work for you? works for me! just keep adam in y'alls prayers!

AHH! the joy of picture taking and the memories behind those pictures.

this is me and my grandma...i really love that woman.

this is how excited i was to be at the aaron shust concert on tuesday night. well, not actually. but...they just happened to catch me at such a lovely moment.

so, i went to drumline camp with aryn today. her friend carson saw my bracelet. while i wasnt around, he asked aryn if i was a lesbian. now...he thought i was, not because of my actions, but because he thought my rainbow bracelet stood for gay pride. so...this is now my "gay pride picture"

so, i was pretending to be taking a senior picture...and look how GREAT it turned out to be!! you should see the other one. actually, you shouldnt. its pretty much a victoria secret model pose.

so thats all for now. pretty sure aryn and i are gonna take a bunch. and then theres always the ones my mom took on her 35 mm. well pry have those tomorrow night.

so....life is pretty much the norm.

Adam has been home since a week ago last saturday, so just a little over a week. he has to go back to iraq on friday for another two months or so. im scared for him, but i also think the time will fly and he'll be fine. hes tough, and he'll endure through it all.

we're in oklahoma. it always feels so good to be here. its like...home away from home. in every sense of the phrase. i dont really have much to say. tonight we're going to a concert and im pretty excited for that. tomorrow night aryn and i are going to her youth group that she attends on wednesday. im really excited for that, because she has such great things to say about the people. i hope to see her at her drumline camp sometime too.

so, thats pretty much all at this point. life is good...and God is better!

IM BAAAACK! i have been since last night, but i wasnt going to post until i had pictures, because its easier to show than to type. so...here are some pictures.

and by the way, i had no make up all week, so i apologize for ME in the pictures.

okay. see the bus in the front? we rode on that for about 6 hours of...well...not exactly smooth rode. i THOUGHT it was only going to be 2 hours. i was definitely wrong. but we were definitely happy to show up at our beautiful hotel, the Seafront Inn. (thats what the pic is...obviously).
 
okay. so the girls in the second picture were outside our hotel everyday, and they wanted to take a picture, so they took one of me and jerry (the first pic).

okay. the first picture is the house of the people in the second picture. little benjamin was so smiley...and his mom was such a sweetheart!

this was carlos. carlos lifted me up so much. he was such a little sweety. he helped us out with music and was always cheering and praising the Lord. i love that kid.

okay. so, the boy in the first picture is Isaiah. in the second picture, im holding him and his sister, and his other brother and sister are in the back. my heart aches when i think of Isaiah. he was my little buddy. he was so smiley, so full of laughs. i miss him like crazy. and my goodbye to him was so incredibly difficult. id go back in a heartbeat just to hear his little giggle.

so these were the mayan ruins. in the first picture, i was pretty much being eaten alive by an ant (a big bad killer one!) when the picture taker clicked the button. and in the second one, its mallory, me, cacey, lauren, and zach all posin' pretty!

okay. i guess i reached my limit for this month on pictures. ill get more on next tuesday! thats probably enough for now anyway.
